From the earliest times, people have wanted to fly. As long ago as the eighteenth century, people have experimented with travelling in balloons. In 1783, a group of inventors had success flying a balloon. Since then, scientists have discovered a lot about the aeronautics and broken many records in ballooning.
By 1961, men were able to send a manned balloon to a height of 35 kilometres. Then in 1999, a balloon made a trip around the world for the first time. It took 19 days.
Balloonists say that the bird’s eye view is exciting and flying in a balloon is very comfortable because it moves with a wind. Passengers feel absolutely free. s

Do you know what zorbing is? — It is an unusual kind of sport.
In 1970, special balls were made for hamsters. Pet owners use them to protect their small pets. In these balls pets can run around the flat without danger of being lost or injured.
In 1990, two young guys from New Zealand thought that it would be very funny to make such balls for people! And they made it from plastic. Now there are several kinds of zorbing. You can roll down a hill, run inside a ball during winter or summer. You even can swim in a zorb!
It’s a lot of fun but you always should listen to the instructor attentively!

Cross-country trips are always interesting. If you are going to spend some time in the countryside, read these helpful rules.
First of all, collect together all the necessary things and put them into your backpack. There should be a compass, sun glasses and a flashlight. The main thing is your hiking boots. They should be comfortable. We also recommend taking a pair of jeans and a jacket, just in case of rain.
After some hours walking, stop to have a rest. In the evening, put up your tents in a dry field and make a fire.
We wish you all the best,

Dear Mike,
It’s so great that your parents presented you with a new bike! You surely will have a lot of fun this summer. What about the weather? Is it good enough to drive? I am at sea camp. Here the weather is sunny and warm and the sun is shining.
I don’t have much time to answer, sorry. My friends and I aren’t playing volleyball now. There is a short break so I have 5 minutes to answer your e-mail.
There are children from all over the world at the camp. They learn how to swim. This year I develop my swimming and diving skills. The underwater world is very beautiful and unusual here. Every day, I see a lot of colorful fish and jellyfish.
Oh, I hear the whistle of the referee. The game is beginning again!
Write me soon,
Best wishes,
Jake
