Spotlight on Russia: Sochi - HOLIDAY TIME

Цель: создать условия для совершенствования языковых и речевых навыков в ситуации речевого общения по теме “Сочи”.

Оборудование: иллюстрации по теме урока.

Ход урока

I. Организационный момент

— Good afternoon, boys and girls! (Good afternoon, teacher!)

— How are you?

— Is everybody here?

II. Актуализация знаний

Проверка домашнего задания

(Учитель организует взаимопроверку выполнения заданий в рабочей тетради. Ответы записаны на доске.)

Упр. 1 (с. 62).

а) а — I’m going to; b — warm and sunny.

b) 1 — Belgium; 2 — sunny; 3 — a few days; 4 — fruit festival; 5 — costumes; 6 — take.

Упр. 2 (c. 62).

b — a beach festival.

(Затем учитель предлагает нескольким ученикам прочитать текст своих открыток вслух.)

III. Работа по теме урока

1. Вводная беседа

(Учитель организует беседу.)

— Do you like to spend holiday at the sea?

— What do you usually do there?

— When was the last time you went to the sea?

— Where was it?

— Did you like the place?

— What did you do there?

2. Работа с текстом в журнале Spotlight on Russia

— Today we’re going to read and talk about Sochi. Open the magazine Spotlight on Russia at the end of your books, page 12. What can you see in the picture? (It’s a beach.)

— Describe the picture, please.

(Предполагаемый ответ:

It’s a hot sunny day. The sea is blue and calm. There are lots of people on the sandy beach. Some of them are swimming. Other people are sunbathing. The children are making sandcastles.

Затем ученики читают заголовок, выделенный синим цветом.)

— What is a resort? (It's a place where a lot of people go for holiday.)

— Read the article and say why Sochi is called the resort capital of Russia.

(Учащиеся самостоятельно читают текст и отвечают на вопрос.)

— Read the text again and complete the sentences.

(На доске записаны неполные предложения.)

1) Sochi is famous for....

2) People travel to Sochi by ....

3) Sochi’s port has direct sea link with ....

4) The winter season attracts ... to ....

— Imagine you’re a tourist manager. What can you tell your clients about Sochi? Practise in pairs.

(Учащиеся выполняют задание в парах, затем несколько учеников выступают перед классом.

Предполагаемый ответ:

Sochi is famous for its warm weather, beautiful landscapes, golden beaches and health spa. You can travel to Sochi by both air and sea.

In the winter season you can enjoy skiing, hunting and mountain climbing. There are lots of festivals in Sochi every year. You can visit the international film festival in June.)

— Imagine you’re in Sochi now. Your friend is calling you and asking about your plans. Tell your friend about your plans for a week. Practise in pairs.

(Учащиеся выполняют задание в парах, затем несколько учеников выступают перед классом.)

3. Выполнение задания в рубрике Activities

(Заранее подготовленные учащиеся рассказывают о своих впечатлениях от поездки в Сочи и сопровождают рассказ показом фотографий.)

IV. Инструктаж по выполнению домашнего задания

— Do you know any other resorts in our country?

(Ученики называют известные им курорты.)

— For your homework collect information on another holiday resort in our country and write an article about it.

(Учитель объясняет, как написать короткую статью по плану, приведенному на с. 12 журнала Spotlight on Russia.)

— If there is anything you don’t understand, ask now.

(Учитель записывает домашнее задание на доске, а ученики — в дневниках:

SB: Spotlight on Russia (p. 12) (write an article).)

V. Подведение итогов урока

— Can you talk about holiday in Sochi?

(Учитель оценивает деятельность учащихся на уроке.)
